Program Today:

Today our program was given to us by Josh Four who is a student at Concord High School. He attended the World Affairs Conference that rotary sponsors. This years conference was on water rights and how water impacts everyone around the world. It was held at Goshen College. About five to six schools attended the conference. There were students from intercity schools and schools that our out in the country. There were about thirty five to forty students from Concord who went to the conference. These students were from AP History and Speech & Debate classes. During the conference they had three key speakers. The speakers covered global, local, and safety concerns with water and pipes. Josh mentioned how he learned that South Bend has cast iron/lead pipes. He also learned how he could have an impact and help in the community by giving. Josh also stated that they were in small groups of about 15 students and there was one Rotarian that would help guide conversation. Overall Josh said he really enjoyed attending the conference and that he definitely took a lot away from the conference as well.
